Ainhoa Rodríguez

Ainhoa Rodríguez es directora de cine, guionista y productora. Su ópera prima, Destello Bravío (2021), se estrenó internacionalmente en la Sección Oficial Tiger Competition del 50º Festival Internacional de Cine de Róterdam (IFFR) y formó parte de la selección del 50 aniversario del New Directors/New Films del Museo MoMA y el Film at Lincoln Center de Nueva York. La película ha sido seleccionada en más de 80 festivales internacionales y estrenada comercialmente en varios países. El filme ha formado parte de prestigiosos festivales como los de Moscú, Shanghái, Tesalónica, el São Paulo International Film Festival o el FICUNAM

Destello Bravío ha recibido numerosos premios, incluyendo la Biznaga de Plata Premio del Jurado y Mejor Montaje en el Festival de Málaga 2021, el Premio Dunia Ayaso en el Festival de San Sebastián o la Violette D´Or en el Festival Cinespaña Toulouse. Así como Mejor Película en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Burgas (Bulgaria) y en el Shorts de Trieste. Ainhoa ha sido reconocida como Mejor Directora en Vilnius (Lituania) o en el Women’s Film Festival in Seoul (Corea del Sur).

Doctora en Teoría y Análisis Cinematográfico por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, también cuenta con un DEA en Comunicación Audiovisual y Publicidad, así como es licenciada en Comunicación Audiovisual y tiene la diplomatura en Dirección de Cine y Realización de TV. En 2021, la revista Variety la destacó como uno de los «Spanish Talents on the Rise» en la Berlinale. Además, sus cortometrajes han sido galardonados en festivales de todo el mundo.

Actualmente trabaja en el desarrollo de su segundo largometraje, Niña, no juegues, un proyecto becado por la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España y seleccionado para el Berlinale Co-Production Market 2025. Combina su labor creativa con su trabajo como profesora y ponente de lenguaje fílmico en universidades e instituciones.

Doctora en Teoría Cinematográfica por la Universidad Complutense, Variety la destacó como uno de los «Spanish Talents on the Rise» en 2021. Actualmente desarrolla su segundo largometraje, Niña, no juegues, (Berlinale Co-production Market y Academia de Cine de España), mientras combina su carrera creativa con la docencia en universidades e instituciones.

ENGLISH VERSION

Ainhoa Rodríguez is a film director, screenwriter, and producer. Her debut feature film, Destello Bravío (2021), premiered internationally in the Tiger Competition Section at the 50th Rotterdam International Film Festival (IFFR) and was part of the selection of the 50th anniversary of the New Directors/New Films at MoMA and Film at Lincoln Center in New York. The film has been selected for over 80 international festivals and has had commercial releases in several countries. The film has been selected for prestigious festivals such as those in Moscow, Shanghai, Thessaloniki, the São Paulo International Film Festival, and FICUNAM in Mexico City.

Destello Bravío has received numerous awards, including the Silver Biznaga Jury Prize and Best Editing at the 2021 Malaga Film Festival, the Dunia Ayaso Prize at the San Sebastian Film Festival, and Best Film at the festivals in Burgas (Bulgaria), Shorts de Trieste (Italy) and Cinespaña Toulouse, among others. Ainhoa has also been recognized as Best Director at prominent international festivals such as Vilnius (Lithuania), Women’s Film Festival in Seoul (South Korea).

She holds a PhD in Film Theory and Analysis from the Complutense University of Madrid, as well as a DEA (Diploma of Advanced Studies) in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising. She also has a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a diploma in Film Directing and TV Production. In 2021, Variety magazine highlighted her as one of the «Spanish Talents on the Rise» at the Berlinale. Additionally, her short films have been awarded at festivals worldwide.

She is currently developing her second feature film, Niña, no juegues, a project funded by the Spanish Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and selected for the Berlinale Co-Production Market 2025. She combines her creative work with her role as a professor and speaker on film language at universities and institutions.
